English is not my native langue But you should have seen how bad my English was when I started translating my stories in English 11 years ago I ve always, well since I can remember dreamt of becoming an author one day Writing free online fiction has been the closest to that I ve gotten so far, but I haven t given up hope of one day holding a copy of my own book in my hands It was by chance that I even found that my story Foolish games was listed here I m thankful of the reviews, even the ones that say it sucks I love getting feedback, that s important so I can improve my writing I ve published all my stories chapter per chapter, so there are pound to be parts that seem boring and perhaps pointless Don t be afraid to point them out to me I am planning to start rewriting Foolish games soon to improve it My life is kept busy by my small son, dog, husband and working part time while taking care of our son at home And I don t get enough sleep and I m often too tired to write when I can D And I haven t had time to read a good book in months 0_0

    1. I liked it very much, the subject matter it brings along is very sensitive and hard to deal with. The author proves good instincts in understanding and acknowledging the long-lasting effects of abuse in general. The resolve isn't rushed, unlike in other officially published books dealing with this kind of problem. I really appreciate the realistic development of the characters and their interactions, showing that recovery isn't something that happens overnight, it's a slow and sometimes difficul [...]

    2. This had potential, you know? It seemed like a fairly realistic portrayal of the life of a gay teenager in Northern Europe and I made it quite far in before I quit. But these days, with all the books I have piling up on my kindle, online fiction has to be extraordinarily good to hold my attention.

    3. I finished reading this so it's not too bad since I have a lot as dnf. The plot is okay although I do find it illogical at times. The characters are way too naive, innocent you may say, but I'd say they are like the 12-year-old rather than 18 and 21, emotionally and intellectually below average young adults. Some of the dialogues make you wonder if these characters are still in elementary school. The writing is also very immature at times. Some of the events in the story just don't really make s [...]

    4. This is a very long but very good one. Because it's unpublished, there are some grammar issues but it takes place in Finland and some of the characters are Russian, so I felt the grammar issues I did come across gave the story a more authentic flair and really worked for the story. This one is not for the faint if heart. It's about a model who comes from a loving and supportive family. He wants to grow up too fast though and finds out how cruel the world can be. This story deals with an abusive r [...]

    5. 3.5 starsThis is a long story set in Finland, about a young male model growing up, and discovering that things are not always kind or fair in the real or adult world. The tale covers some harsh themes, such as domestic violence and rape, showing the effects it has not only on the victim, but on everyone who know the couple. For the most part, the story is told in a quiet, evenly paced manner, and covers several years of the model's life.I suspect that English is not the author's native language, [...]

    6. Long. Complicated. Very angsty and the drama was a bit extreme, but I still read this start to finish over 2 days. I liked it, just felt that a lot of the scenes could have been pared down to make this a more readable story, with a tight plot.
