    1. I really liked Grayzel's perspective and approach in combining concepts of domesticity and war. She makes some incredibly fresh insights into WWI, the interwar years, and the beginning of WWII for those living in Britain. However, the book can be really dry and tedious at times. I'm extremely interested in this subject and found myself skipping whole paragraphs and pages as they were a bit tedious and repetitive. I wish she had done more with the incredible archive material she includes as well. [...]
