    1. My friend begged me to read this book and after avoiding it for a few weeks I finally gave in. I'm so glad I did!!! Finally a book about teenagers that actually act like teenagers. This is exactly the kind of book I was looking for: a summer romance that's fun and not too heavy. Sure Emma falls in love very quickly but thats what teens do. I also love a book with a good love triangle. The author makes you fall in love with both guys. I'm still not sure if I'm team Nash or team Court. I think I'm [...]

    2. I hate to say I bought this book and it sat in my kindle for awhile. I finally decided to give it a read and eight hours later I'm still wishing for more. This book was a fun ride. It reminded me of being young and free. I love the love triangle. The author does a great job to actually make you fall in love with both guys. One minute you are team Court and want nothing to do with Nash, but then all of the sudden you're team Nash. But somehow are still in love with Court. Yes my head is still spi [...]

    3. I finished this book last night and I can't stop thinking about it. I'm in love with this book. I love the setting and all the music mentioned. I also wish I had been alive to witness the 1969 Woodstock concert so it was awesome the author made the farm it took place part of the setting. Ok let me get to the good part and they are named Court and Nash. I have no idea who I prefer Emma with. They are both HOT!!!!!. I can't pick between them. I will say Emma can get on your nerves, but in that tee [...]

    4. Seriously, that is what my brain was doing through this entire book. I am fully on Court's side right now. That is right, I am a Court Dobberson girl full on.This is for you Court If August could just get here now with the sequel, that would be lovely!!

    5. I just started this book and i can't put it down. it's soooo good. I finished the book and LOVED it. I finished it a couple days ago and can't stop thinking about it. I will be reading it again. I loved that the book didn't lead you to love one boy over the other. At first I thought Court is amazing and Nash is a jerk, but then you fall for Nash too. You become as conflicted as Emma. To be honest in my perfect world I would have them both. I can't wait for the 2nd book. I need more of Nash and C [...]

    6. Over at Forevet YA Fiction we loved loved this book. We loved the love triangle, the setting, and how music plays it part, including that every title of each chapter is named after a song. The four of us at Forever YA continue to argue over which team we are on: Team Court or Team Nash. We loved the relationships and the surprises. It took us all back to being young again.

    7. I don't think I have ever gotten to the end of a book with a love triangle and wanted the girl to end up with both boys. Nope, cant think of one. Usually I can pick a side and sometimes my choice isn't picked but this time, there was no fore runner. I'm nervous for the next installment because I really cant pick one over the other, how Maria E. Monteiro is going to make the choice without totally ruining one of the characters is beyond me, I am looking forward to seeing it all plays out.

    8. I could not put this book down. I loved that this book's love triangle was not so clear on who Emma should stay with. I see why so many people are having trouble picking between Court and Nash. I still can't decide I loved them both. I can't wait to read the next one.

    9. I just read this book last night. I could not put it down. I felt like Emma and didn't know which boy to pick. One minute I hated Nash the next I loved him. And OMG I loved Court. I want my own Court, but if he's not available I want Nash.

    10. While I read Hold On Tight,, I couldn't put it down I fell in love with Court, and at the same time I fell in love with Nash I felt like I was Emma Every girl wants a Court,, but we all secretly want a Nash

    11. From iloveyafiction/hold-on-tight-by-mBy now you all must realize that I’m a sucker for a good love story. And one that involves some sort of love triangle is, like, the pinnacle of all love stories. The tension between the heroine and the two would-be lovers makes for exciting reading and it’s the mystery of who she chooses that drives the whole book. Maria Monteiro crafts a good story from this premise and does not disappoint with all the lovey-dovey stuff. She told me this was a “fun, s [...]

    12. This is one of those books that you can while away a lazy afternoon reading, it was a complete delight. I loved Emma, the main character and narrator, from the moment she said she would have preferred to be Ally Sheedy before the makeover in The Breakfast Club rather than Molly Ringwald. In my head, I was like, me too! The story centres around Emma who six months ago lost her boyfriend to a terrible accident. Emma finds herself working at a theme park for the summer, (this aspect reminded me of [...]

    13. I love the story but hate the maybe ending. Proves us women are stupid when it comes to bad boys. I agree with Emma's friend Britney about why she thought she loved Nash. Court was who she should end up with. He was a reformed bad boy who only thought of her. Court wanted to make her smile and laugh. He told everyone he broke off with her so that everyone would not hate her. Please do not let her end up with Nash.

    14. Maria Montiero tapped into the excitement of young love. Emma is a spunky girl that easy to relate to. She's lost her best friend and needs help moving on, enter Court. I love the mixed emotions she feels toward him from the beginning. And Nash, isn't there always that bad boy that makes our heart race like mad? Overall great job! Looking forward to Letting Go!

    15. I heard about this book through Twitter and could not put it down! Cannot wait for the second one to come out and see who Emma will chooseI have to admit I'm team Nash!

    16. With all of the high ratings and glowing reviews, I was really excited to read this book. Ordinarily I like a little something more than romance with my YA, but occasionally a love story so gripping and raw comes along that I am sucked in and fall in love with all the teenage angst. Spoilers AheadThis was not one of those books. Boy crazy Emma is a wishy washy whiner who wants to have it all and treats the people who love her the most - her boyfriend and her parents - with thinly disguised conte [...]

    17. I first found out about this book after reading a blog post all about it. The blog was very very convincing and I thought there was no way I'm not reading this.I searched and salvaged every bookstore in my town but I couldn't find a copy, having it shipped overseas was out of the question. So I waited for someone to upload an ebook online that was free A lot of 5 star reviews from made me ache to finally read it. After months of waiting, maybe a year, I finally got one. My expectations were pre [...]

    18. This was given to me by a first-reads-giveaway winner. I will posting this review on her page too.Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this. I am really trying to decide how to review this book. So many good things. It is completely a young adult book. Not one bit grown up and not juvenile either. Very "high schooly" (I'm sure that's really a word). The characters were great. I love both guys and just can't decide wich one to pull for. Emma was pretty typical. At first I didn't like [...]

    19. My head is still spinning. Wow I actually feel like I've been taken a roller coaster ride of emotions. When I first started the book I was in love with Court and couldn't stand Nash, and then it flipped all around for me. I began to fall for Nash just like Emma did. Then it flips again and I wanted Court back with Emma. At the end of the book I wanted Emma with both guys. I loved this story and most of all love the authenticity of the teenagers in it. Yes Emma can sometimes get on your nerves, bu [...]

    20. Heartbreaking, emotional book with a major cliffhanger, leaving the readers guessing who will get the girl. I couldn't choose team, both guys had their merits and faults. I didn't want to be in Emma's shoes, because the variety of choice is sometimes worse, than the lack of it. I took away one star, because Emma's inner monologue was one and the same and irked me. I liked secondary characters and can't wait the sequel. Highly recommended for all the fans of emotional read!

    21. Good read! Had trouble deciding which side to come down on, found myself frustrated with Emma for a while, then pissed at her, then sympathetic toward her, then sorry for her. "Roller coaster" of a ride for sure. Fun!

    22. I love the book cover and from what I heard about the book I couldn't wait to read it. It's written in a way where everything flows together. It took me a few chapters before I could really get to it. It's a good book, I just couldn't connect with any of the characters. There were also a few words missing here and there and a few misspelled words. Nash, Emma and Court are all immature, Emma and Nash more than Court. They are all busy rubbing things in each others faces to really know what they a [...]

    23. First off, I'd like to thank Maria for sending me this book. I'm now ready to read the sequel! And after this book's ending, I really am excited. To be perfectly honest, this book is probably meant for a younger audience. The characters were wonderful and it's so easy to fall in love with some of them - Nash for example. Emma and Brittney's characters seemed a little immature, which is why I say this book is a little young for me. It almost sounds like it was written by a middle schooler - which [...]

    24. I was given this as a first-reads giveaway. I posting a review given by another and will post my own at another time.Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this. At f [...]

    25. The complex characters in this novel makes the book worth wild. I mean these characters actually behave like teenagers, not necessarily adults, although they do make adult decisions. There are some laughable, confusing, sad and frustrating moments but that is what makes the book so good.

    26. Ping pong romanceI really wanted to like this book but I really hated the main character. I love Court, no I love Nash, she flipped flopped her feelings every other paragraph. I was really disgusted with her.

    27. I'm not really a big fan of the story and the characters. especially Emma. I find her character's lack of stability seriously disturbing. I hope it gets better.
