    2. Kathy did a FABULOUS job in this debut novel. It was great to get an "inside" look at the music industry in Nashville. This was a story about forgiveness and mercy, but I think the BIG takeaway for me was the importance of having a faith grounded in Jesus, even before tragedy hits.Overall, just a fabulously written novel and I'll definitely be looking for more from Kathy Harris!!!!

    5. I find in life that sometimes despite our abilities to leave our pasts behind, sometimes it's not possible. 11. I won this book in a contest on The Book Club Network advertising the new release of their Magazine! I didn't know what to expect going into this book but I was wonderfully and pleasantly impressed with this one. This book basically follows a couple and the people around them. I found it extra interesting because one of my friends is married to a professorial Christian Singer with a group and she also sings plays, sings and teaches. It gave me a lot more insight into the life of weeks and weeks [...]

    12. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the relationship of Josh and Beth. They deeply loved each other, but like us, had their moments of conflict. I thought it was a great first novel. It was well written and had an easy flow to the story that kept me wanting to know what was going to happen next. I loved how dedicated Alex was to Beth, and how Beth’s story tied in with Dr. Abram. Another positive aspect of the book was Beth and Josh’s faith. It was inspiring to read how Josh handled the tough [...]

    13. Josh and Bethany's life seems perfect until the day Bethany passes out in her kitchen and is rushed to the hospital with a tear in her carotid artery. Things take an interesting twist when they discover that Bethany is pregnant on top of everything else. The two must face their challenges with faith and courage, especially Bethany who must face a mistake from her past and it's possible impact on her marriage. I found this a sweet love story as well as a story of finding faith in the face of tria [...]

    14. Welcome to another page-turner. A Road to Mercy, by Kathy Harris, belongs in the PT category, as I like to call it. It is an excellent story written by a writer who obviously knows her " stuff." She is no amateur and definitely a professional in her field.Kathy Harris writes a gripping story of a Christian country singer, Josh Harrison, whose fame is on the rise. As he travels the entertainment circle, his pregnant wife, Bethany, stays behind, facing a complicated pregnancy. How she wishes Josh [...]

    15. Once you pick this book up you won't be able to put it down. It is a compelling read. The story begins with a Prologue, and I felt like I have read this part before? As we travel on we get to almost the end of the book before the pieces fall into place. The theme of this story is about forgiveness, whether it is forgiving oneself Bethany has been unable to do. Or as in Josh forgiving Bethany and then himself. We deal with a lot of uncertain happenings. Will Beth survive long enough to salvage her r [...]

    16. I have been wanting to read The Road to Mercy for a while, so I was excited when BookClubNetwork offered it for my honest review. What a great book! Ms. Harris wrote about tough subjects so effortlessly, transporting us back and forth between a 50-year span without missing a beat. I loved the suspense and mystery that she added to the storyline for more intrigue and to keep the reader involved, but I also loved the complexity of the characters’ emotions as they were dealing with their own hurt [...]

    17. Josh and Bethany Harrison are a couple who faces many life changing events in their life. From the thrill of finding out that she is pregnant with their first child to the life threatening condition which could take her, the baby's or both lives, this book shows all of the pain and emotions involved in the decisions made. Enter into the mix, Dr. Ben Abrams who chose to live his life by science and not by faith. In this mix is also Isaac. An orphan from a long ago plane crash. How do all of these [...]

    18. First off, let me say contemporary fiction is not one of my favorite genres. However, this book sounded intriguing to me, so I decided to read it. The Road to Mercy was good not great. While reading the book it kept my attention, but when I had to set it down I didn't want to rush back to it. The story was at times predictable and the ending left much to be desired, but overall, I think it is a nice debut novel. Even though this book didn't wow me, if the synopsis sounds like something you would [...]

    19. Excellent! Christian musician Josh is on the road with his band when his wife collapses with a life-threatening condition. The doctor advises her to end her pregnancy. Author Kathy Harris did an excellent job keeping it real. The emotions hit home - from Bethany's struggle to accept God's forgiveness to Josh's "what next?" when problems hit, to the couple's conflicts. It's not easy to write about spiritual issues, but the prayers, thoughts, and dialogue referencing God felt completely realistic. [...]

    20. The Road to MercyBy: Kathy HarrisThis is my first book by Kathy Harris I really enjoyed it. It kept me wanting to read and not put it down. Great Characters. Josh and his wife Bethany are faced with some major decisions they need to make. Can they make these decisions based on being Christians? Not knowing if Bethany will make it through the decision they make. The decision they make is based on faith. Only god's mercy and their faith can get them through this trial in their life. I love Christia [...]

    21. I loved the Nashville setting, the glimpses into the music business, and the beginning of the book had me wondering what in the world was this about? Kathy Harris kept me reading wondering how all of the dilemmas that the characters wrestled with would resolve. The young couple faced spiritual, mental and physical battles with all the faith they could muster. What I loved most was the surprise ending! It gave me chills.

    22. I was a little frustrated in the beginning because I felt the story jumped all over the place and couldn't find the connections between the different characters and time periods. HOWEVER, hang in there because when the light comes on it will be so worth it! Great story, uniquely told, and nicely woven together by the conclusion. My first book by this author and I would read her work again.

    23. A debut novel that I learned about on a blog that I follow. Loved the message about trusting and following God no matter the cost.

    24. Struggle with faith during terrible health problems mixed with wonderful lessons about repentance, forgiveness and God's mercy and grace.

    25. I loved this book! The characters Josh and Beth show a real life relationship and the challenges we can face. I cannot wait to read more from Kathy Harris!

    26. If you are struggling with your faith, how to get through some trials and challenges, or wondering if God is even hearing your prayers, this book is for you. Even though it is a fictional story, the message is real.I am reviewing this book as part of the PUMP UP YOUR BOOK promotional book tour. I am certainly glad to have found another new author and with a fabulous debut novel. Harris gripped me in her Prologue and had me wondering almost to the end how that scene connected to the rest of the n [...]
