    1. Enjoyed this one, the story wasn't new but I liked the characters and their interactions. Slater being back with his family, Nicki and Rocki and her grief and her relationship with her brother. Slater gets to know his past and deal with it while Rocki also stops hiding her life from her friends. Overall, nice one.

    2. This is one of these time where I wonder if I read the same book as everyone else. DNFing at page 144 because I just can’t stand it anymore.Slater is back in Red Hook for the first time in 10 years after a bad break up to help his dad with his bar. He plan to be there for a month then head out to the Middle East for his IT security job. He’s unwilling to share the reason for his return with anyone, just wants to bear it until he can go. Rocki is the lead singer for the house band. She’s be [...]

    3. Slick‘s review posted on Guilty Pleasures Book ReviewsReview copy provided for an honest review5 STARSSometimes a book hits you really hard and Robin Kaye’s Had To Be You is one of those books. During the course of this book, the hero remembers some awful incidents that he has repressed for many years and in doing so, he begins to question everything about who he is and his worth to the people in his life. I had a friend who lived through an incident very much like the hero’s so to say I w [...]

    4. I have been a fan of Robin Kaye since I was lucky enough to win a copy of Back to You, the first book in the Bad Boys of Red Hook Series. Ms Kaye instantly became one of my favorite authors. I have loved this series from the beginning and have had the chance to read them all. I have loved each book and adored all the characters. However, Had to Be You just might be my favorite of the series.Slater doesn't remember a whole lot from his childhood. He knows it was a rough life before he came to liv [...]

    5. Slater’s past is just that, his past. So returning to Red Hook to help out his foster family while his dad recovers isn’t his idea of a good time. He’s counting down the days until he gets his contract with OPEC to go to Bahrain and start his new job. That is until he lays eyes on Rocki. He can’t believe how sexy she is, and he certainly can’t understand why she’s wasting her talent in a bar in Red Hook when she could be bringing in big bucks singing in New York City…unless she’s [...]

    6. What is it about Crow’s Nest that the Boys of Red Hook keep back to? It could be the small town feel in the middle of a city and the family and friends that are always there for them. To be specific, Pete, who had taken in each three boys and raised them as his own or Nikki and her dog named D.O.G. who managed to capture everyone’s heart. I know for me it’s the Boys that are obviously now men who finally get their happy-ever-after. Ms. Kaye ended this series with an emotional punch. I had [...]

    9. Robin Kaye brings readers the final book in her Bad Boys of Red Hook series, Had to be You. Readers who have followed this series about a very special family in the heart of Brooklyn, are sure to find this book just right in every way. Kaye's attention to detail and steamy scenes are a trademark that readers have come to expect from this author and both shine in this book. When Slater Shaw returns home for a short stint running the family bar in Red Hook, he never expects to find a sexy singer w [...]

    10. Had to be You, Bad Boys of Red Hook #3, by Robin KayeGrade: C+“Nothing gets to me. Except you. It had to be you.”Slater Shaw ran away from Red Hook as fast as he could and into the navy but when his foster father has a heart attack he heads home to help run the family restaurant. Slater’s goal is to help for a month and then make his way to the Middle East to finish a computer program that will make him a rich man and finally be able to show off to all of those that treated him like garbag [...]

He started to show his true se [...]

    12. 4.5 stars!I love a great series with good family drama, people that you have history with that love you unconditionally, with a good romance of course. This is a perfect read for me, the third in a series about a family in Brooklyn that comes together after a heath scare. This story overlaps the second book a bit but the author does a great job of melding the pieces together and you could easily read the books as standalones.Slater Shaw came back to help his father after his heart attack, he, al [...]

    13. Had to Be You wraps up the Bad Boys of Red Hook series in a neat little package. The final brother to meet his match, Slater has come home earlier than expected to get away from the ex-girlfriend who played him for a fool. Rocki is the lead singer for the house band at the Crow’s Nest, and has plenty of secrets from those closest to her. When they meet, sparks fly, though not necessarily sparks of the good kind. The chemistry between Slater and Rocki was almost instant, though they would try t [...]

    14. In Had to be You, Robin Kaye, returns readers to Red Hook to torment us with the angst-filled romance between Slayer and Rocki. The Red Hook series is built on the strong family ties with Pop, Pete Calahan, at the center. Pop’s bar, the Crow’s Nest, is a fantastic setting for this series – it a place of gathering. As with previous installments, the author has delicately balanced tragedy with infatuation and humor. “A little fun, frolicking, and mattress tag with Slater would be great for [...]

    15. The only thing I was disappointed in with this book was the fact that I didn't start with the first book in the series. I LOVED this book, from cover to cover. I couldn't put it down and became completely engrossed in it. Well written, amazing characters and a fantastic location made this book everything it promised to be.The characters were amazing wait did I mention that already? I completely fell in love with them and felt like I knew them forever. Slater was perfect. A little bad and a whole [...]

Pete menyuruh Slater mengantar Rocky pulang. Slater tidak keberatan, soalnya dia memang sudah ingin berduaan dengan Rocky sejak pertama kali melihatnya.Konfliknya adalah ketika perasaan Slater sudah terlibat j [...]

    17. If you've read the other two Red Hook books and enjoyed them, you'll probably like this one as well. It's the last brother, Slater's turn to fall in love. He's home to help with his father who is recovering from a heart attack. Or something. They covered it in the first book but I don't remember a repetition in this book. Anyway, Slater's back and it's insta-lust when he sees singer Rocki, the woman who fronts the band that plays at his father's bar. She also falls into insta-lust.They're both kn [...]

    18. Well, it's about damn time Nicki found a her Daddy. We watched her being bounced around with Storm and Logan, but it was heart breaking when Slater told her it was him. I love Robin Kaye, she writes so realistically, you don't feel as if you're reading a book but reading about a life experience. It has the right amount of heart warming and humor. I loved watching Slater get over his fear. Rocki and him were great together. I'm bummed cuz this is the last book and I really wanted to see the weddi [...]

    19. Another great one in the Red Hook series! Slater is back home but for how long is anyone's guess. Rocki knows getting involved with Slater could lead to heartache but since she refuses to let her heart get involved she should be safe. These two are perfect for each other but secrets and their pasts may keep them apart. I loved all the books in this series but I think this might be my favorite. I definitely recommend it.

    20. 60% di awal boring banget, cuman berpanjang2 ttg Rocky yg ternyata punya kakak yg tiba2 kecelakaan & koma, Rocky yg ternyata tajir abis jg sangat berbakat tp selama 3 thn cuman manggung di cafe kecil dgn salary yg biasa pula. Slater & Rocky yg saling tertarik ttp tarik ulur krn Slater minder dgn kekayaan Rocky jg Rocky yg ga mau berhubungan serius krn Slater cuman tinggal sementara di kota itu ditambah trauma Rocky & Slater akibat kematian ortu masing2 yg tragisuhhh cape bacanya

    21. I wasn't a huge fan of Rocki but this book sold me. She was a fantastic heroine, and I absolutely loved Slater (I'm still swooning over this superhero!). This was scorching hot, funny, romantic, and a total tearjerker. I think I had sad and happy tears all throughout the last 50 pages. I am so excited to get Jackson's story in Home To You. This was definitely my favourite book in the Bad Boys of Red Hook series.

    22. The point of view switched a lot in this story but I still love the story with these too and Niki is just so darn adorable =] she has helped tie this series together and the Bad Boys of Red Hook, each fall for the little girl as well as the Boys future loves of their lives and Slater didn't escape Niki's adorable ness or Rocki's love.

    23. Of the three I have read in the series I liked this one the most. Slater and Rocki had an instant connection. Both of them were damaged due to things that happened to them while growing up. Both of them were hiding from their lives. At times it was funny, other times sad and emotional. A good read from start to finish!

    24. I love all Robin's books, but Had To Be You is my favorite. I love how Slater and Rocki's relationship kind of fell into itself. Rocki's reaction and support of Slater when he told her about the possibility of being a dad was awesome. I highly recommend this book and if you haven't read Robin's other books, I think you should check them out.

    25. This story started out promising but the action moved kind of slow. Then the heroine started constantly thinking about how to hide her past while the hero thought about sex. I started skimming all but dialogue, about 80% of the book, until it pickup and had a pretty good ending. Slater is in town for a month before going to Bahrain and is attracted by Rocki, a singer at his dad's bar.

    26. Robin Kaye did a great job wrapping up this series! Slater's broken, tough guy shell cracks away by Nicki and Rocki.I couldn't put it down. Glad I stumbled on this (for me) new author, looking forward to reading more if her books.
