    1. This is the incredible love story of Luke and Nikki. I loved the story and the setting and of course I love a strong black woman at the center of the story! Not to mention an alpha male that is damaged emotionally. I have to say I've never read a book where important information was purposely left out of the storytelling until later in the book. And we got this information in small increments but it was all good in the end. This was the first time I read a book by this author. I'm so glad I took [...]

    2. My first book by this author. This is Nicole and Lukas' story. You may find it hard to warm up to Nicole at first because she is so aggressive and hard as nails. Lukas is a sweetheart and is trying to heal from a tragic loss. The story made me laugh out loud the dialogue between the two. Lukas is not afraid of Nicole so he does not back down from her one inch. The story is written solely from his prospective. That was different for me I have never read a story solely from the man's prospective b [...]

    3. This was a decent read, but it wasn't spectacular. The female character was seriously annoying, and not to mention, cold as heck. It's a quick read that could have been better, and IMO, it should have been better. As a persnickety reader, I refuse to give IR (or any other) writers a pass, just because a large # of readers, choose to do so.Giving this one: 2.75 stars

    4. This was such an emotional read! It killed me to see Lukas to go through the death of daughter, but from the day that he met Nicole's daughter, Kelly, I just knew she was the one.

    5. 2.75 stars. There were quite a few glaring inaccuracies and inconsistencies with this book so it was hard to get a grasp on the body of the book because I was too busy wondering how someone's eyes were first green, then magically blue on the next page. This story has a good "design". but somehow things went awry with the foundation. I was happy with the ending and glad to see that Lukas and Nicole were able to find their HEA.

    6. I went into this book with zero expectations. I am not a fan of short books of the time I feel that they are rushed and a waste of my time. However I decided to give it a chance being that I really liked the blurb and I am so glad that I did. This book made me laugh at times when I probably shouldn't have I should let anyone know who is reading this review my sense of humor is quite different from most. I know that when he said he really didn't have time for crackhead conversations I fell out la [...]

    7. This is the second book that I have read by this author and it won't be my last. Need to finish the BTTW series. In The Boss Lady we meet Lukas Hamilton (this story is given from his point of view), owner of Hamilton Moving company. Lukas has suffered a devastating loss and has decided to return back to work and help his guys on they last move of the day. Enters Nicole and Kelly Nevels. Nicole and Lukas do not get off to a amicable start; however, Kelly and Lukas form somewhat of a rapport with [...]

    8. This was the 3rd best IR book that I've read. Omg this was funny and great. This short story was the bomb. Lolah did her thing with this book. It's about a man who was damage because his daughter was killed by her mother driving drunk with a loaded gun in the car and her other children too. His world was tured up side down untill his moving company moves a lady and child into there new house, Tony the worker drops a T.V on the floor and the lady is going off. Lucas comes to Tony's aid. The fire [...]

    9. This is a classic case of "opposites attract". Lukas was white, blue collar entrepreneur. She was black, white collar and difficult. When she hired his moving company to move her furniture, a slight mishap caused her to go off the deep end. Her volatile temper and his gritty, down to earth attitude resulted in amazing chemistry and explosive sex scenes. I enjoyed the story of the two main characters and loved when they were able to set aside their differences and let love in.

    10. Despite the choppy writing, this was a pretty good read. However, the story would've benefited from having both POVs. Nicole came across as cold and unfeeling. I didn't totally buy her apology towards the end.

    11. Loved it!This was a great read. Loved the MC's. I had this book for a while just now reading it. I think someone told me the male was a submissive which is a turn off for me but now I see they clearly lied. Lukas was a strong male who went toe to toe with Ms Nevels. The banter between them was priceless! Another great read by this author.

    12. “The Boss Lady” was my introduction to author Lolah Lace. I read it in one afternoon because I just couldn’t put it down.In many romances, the story is usually told through the heroine’s perspective or it alternates between hers and the hero’s. “The Boss Lady” is told solely through Lukas’s point of view and I loved the uniqueness of that.Lukas is struggling. He went through something very traumatic, and he’s in the process of recovering from it. While working on the job, he me [...]

    13. Lolah, Lolah, LolahBefore the snow storm of 2016 I had read only 1 of your books. I had downloaded this sample months ago but didn't purchase because I didn't think that I could like Nicole. Well after reading A Constant Reminder and the Balls to the Walls series I decided to read everything you have written. So happy that I did. Love this book. Loved Lukas and Kelly's relationship as well. Keep them coming!

    14. It AllLuke's voice in the introduction grabbed my attention. It felt his pain and anguish through the sample so I had to get the whole book. Him meeting Nicki was kismet. They were on a collision course towards one another and the feels had me turning the pages faster and faster! Great story and Kelly is a scene stealer!

    15. I didn't think I was going to like this because Nicki was such a bitch in the beginning. As I was moving along in the story she started to grow on me. I adored Lukas and I'm glad it was told from his point of view. This has quickly become one of my favorite stories. I am new to this author and will look into more of her work. Great job, Ms. Lace!

    16. Lolah Lace has great potential. There is a freshness to her writing that is rarely seen in IR books. This story is told from the hero's perspective - and it works.Editing has gotten better, only a few misses and they did not detract from the story. The chemistry between the two leads is there and the daughter is too cute.Another fine job by Ms. Lace.

    17. Beautiful story equally deserving of 5 stars and more. The more I read was the more I wanted to know. I'm glad that even though this was a short story it did not feel overly rushed and I was not left wanting.

    18. I LOVE IT!couldnt put the book down!I love luke, nicole and kelly so much. The characters still lingers in my head long after I finished reading it.That's much how I love the book if the characters can't get out of my head and made me wondering what happened to them if the story continue.

    19. A well written book.ry real and believable storye cover doesn't do justice.'s actually a good book. The connection between Lukas and Nicole was build slowly and good and as humanly as possible nothing rush in their love storyi really like it i love this book.

    20. I could not put this book down! First time reading this authors work and I look forward to reading more of her work! I felt sparks between these two and loved reading how their relationship started and grew. Great read! Great book!

    21. Enjoy this standalone It is actually a 4 1/2 star the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was because I would love to hear the heroines point of view. Beside that the book was funny and love scenes were good. I love this story I would recommend this story
