    1. DNF @45%Sois is my third DNF this week. Because apparently my goal is to make it rain, folks. Ridiculous, I know. I just find myself completely unwilling these days to continue to a read book that starts to feel less like fund more like a high school reading assignment that requires a book report. Life's too short. And I'm getting too old for that nonsense.Anywaste. There was nothing wrong with this book. At ALL. It was just very obvious to me that this author got hit with the Kristen Ashley stic [...]

    2. Holy mother of everything that is, well I don't know. Blatant misogyny, thy name is this book. Actually, the dialogues in this book make blatant misogyny seem tame. The MCs were pathetic; just miserable, deplorable, horrible little shits. Rich and entitled, Gwen and her best friend Amy are well, for lack of a better word, basic bitches who wear all these hot, sexy clothes, and are wanted by all men. But of course, being thin and hot is their priority in life, so they don't eat carbs, and drink l [...]

    3. Check out this and my other reviews at My Blog Copy received by author in exchange for an honest review★Book Basics★ Genre: - Cont Romance Series: - 1st in the seriesLove triangle? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)]Cheating? - (view spoiler)[No (hide spoiler)]HEA? - (view spoiler)[Yes (hide spoiler)]Would I read more by this author/or in this series? - YesRating - 4 stars★Review★I am going to start off by saying, I have read this book 3 times now, the first time I got to about 80% and g [...]

    4. Blame Jennifer for this one. Right when I was out she pulled me back in with this freebie (Today - 2/18) . . .

    5. To be honest I'd like to give this three and half stars, simply for keeping me entertained. The storyline and plot are rock solid with interesting characters. Anne Malcom kept me in stitches with her off the wall dialogue and playful banter which is why I turned a few of them into quotes, they were just too good to ignore; in another scene she had me in tears. So like I said I enjoyed Making the Cut. I feel the author has a lot of potential and plan on keeping a watchful eye on her. So at this p [...]

    6. This book started out fairly well and had moments that were entertaining but overall I had too many issues to give it a higher rating. The biggest issue is that the author repeatedly does one of my biggest pet peeves - has the heroine reference romance books as how she knows the way men act. Oh sweetie, just no. Romance is wonderful but in no way is it real life. The heroine thinks she knows all about how a motorcycle club works because she reads biker romance. No. No you don't. Then the worst pa [...]

    7. The story was not bad at all, but this book really needed an editor. This was well beyond a few typos or word mixups. The editing and formatting were bad enough it was difficult to read at times, just not making sense. I just could not rate this higher than 2 stars. All that said, I would look into a book by this author again in the future if editing was used. She has a story worth telling if the execution was refined.

    8. I read 8% of this book before I gave up. The structure and editing is so bad it was making my brain hurt. The author doesn't seem to like paragraphs, transitions, correct work usage, basic grammar, correct spelling. need I go on?And this is supposedly the updated, corrected version? WTF did it look like in first version? Look, I love and support self-published authors. Most of the books I read are self-published. But being self-published doesn't excuse you from providing an edited, presentable p [...]

    9. Wellis is gonna be akward. I hate writing reviews about books that didn't really do it for me. However.we can't like them all.I think the premises for this book was really great and it actually started out really good. I got pulled into the story right awayd then it went downhill for me.I think the biggest problem I had with this story, was the heroine. I am the first to admit though, that I'm very picky about my heroines. I don't like doormats, whiny or shallow women or wallflowery types. I lik [...]

    10. Gwen Alexandra thought she had met the man for her only to be betrayed by him in the worst possible way. After her wounds heal, she leaves for a small town in California to begin anew with her best friend and open a shop. Gwen has no intentions of getting involved with another bad boy again, but it only takes a few minutes before another one enters her life.Biker Cade Fletcher knows Gwen will be his, she puts up a few walls along the way but he has every plan to knock each and everyone down. Whe [...]

    11. 3.5 StarsOverall Opinion: This was actually pretty enjoyable all in all (especially for a free book). I did have issues with the last bit of drama (see cheating spoiler), as well as feeling like I didn't get enough closure. I actually read this because I read the synopsis for the second book in the series, Firestorm, and thought I should read this first. I think I will read the second book, but probably not right away (I like to spread out my mc romances).Storyline:This is Gwen and Cade's story. [...]

    12. 4.5 Stars, Loved it:)OK, how and why haven't I discovered this talented author beforehand, lol! I have had this book on my Kindle for quite some time and thankfully I decided on a whim to try it out and wow, was I ever pleasantly surprised!!!!I loved the writing, the storyline was great, the secondary charactersoh my, I absolutely loved them all, well, of course except for maybe Ginger, hehehehe!!!!! The story flowed seamlessly, it was filled with action, suspense, drama, angst, it had it all an [...]

    13. I can't quite decide between a 3 1/2 stars or 4 stars for this one. I really liked the story and easily was sucked in. I loved the characters, and want book 2, however this book needs editing. I see it was revised but this book needs some more editing help. Now I'm not one to stop reading a book because it needs editing usually my brain fixes issues when I read so I can read past a lot however this book has structure and tense issues which was hard to skip. Am I glad I read this book yes, will I [...]

    14. -The GoodKindle UnlimitedKristen Ashley vibe with a love of bikers and decorating. In small doses, it works. Some silly jealousy moments that I eat up like candyFunny moments between Amy and Gwen that set up their friendship nicelyTraumatic prologue certainly had me sympathizing with Gwen quickly-The BadNo real emotional development. It goes from hot sex to love in nothing flat, and I didn’t buy it.Super judgy heroine (even if justified to some extent) isn’t my favorite. Add to that the momen [...]

    15. This would be really a 2 star review but I'm bumping it to a three star review because I think the author was sincerely trying to publish a good book and I think she has potential. This was a very poorly edited book that was clearly patterned after Kristen Ashley's books and characters. If you are a true KA fan you will see the overwhelming similarities. To me, it was a mix of Mystery Man, Motorcycle Man, all the Rock Chicks and a little of the Colorado series thrown in. You have a character tha [...]

    16. DNF @ 28%I'm a SAHM of 4. I live in yoga pants. I could give two shits about the insane amount of details of the clothing everyone is wearing. About how beautiful everything is. About how beautiful EVERYONE is. Really?! Way too much description on clothing. The fact that everyone is gorgeous is also annoying because none of that is real life. The sex scenes also leave something to be desired. I tried, but when I'm skimming more than reading it's time to call it.

    17. MehTypical MC book, nothing special and nothing too annoying. Badass dude (yay!) and the chick wasn't awful (though she was a pretty weak character). They were both likable and the plot wasn't too bad. This said, it wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Dunno if that's good or bad but ah well. Happy reading!

    18. Difficult review to write.Gwen has moved from New Zealand to New York and she's living her dream until she starts dating Jimmy, she's pulled in by his looks and his bad boy image but then she finds herself on the wrong side of him and it nearly costs her her life. She pulls through, barely but can no longer continue to live in New York, too many memories and nightmares so along with her best friend Amy she moves to California for a fresh start but the fresh start comes with a local MC The Sons o [...]

    19. I'm so glad I read this book. Glad I didn't give up after a few chapters. I wouldn't have been able to anyway, despite the editing issues. Gwen and Cade had me early on. I just had to continue reading and find out how things will turn out for them. First of, I must say I liked Anne Malcom's storytelling ability. She can certainly write. Sure this needs serious editing but I managed to overlook it cause I was enjoying myself a lot. (Though I hope the next books in the series will be better.) My b [...]

    20. DNF - no rating.I gave this my best shot but can't get past the editing issues, it's distracting and I've way too many other books on my TBR list.I'm out.

    21. 4.5 Stars, Loved it:)OK, how and why haven't I discovered this talented author beforehand, lol! 22. 3.5 starsOverall I enjoyed this book. It was a fun, hot and easy read. There was a little bit of push and pull between the H & h in the first half but that was due to the heroine doing the pushing away. One thing that made me drop half a star was (view spoiler)[ at about 80% there is a scene where the heroine walks in the hero's room at the club house the morning after a fight and the hero is a sleep and a club whore walks out of the bathroom in his shirt. She then runs away from him and the [...]

    23. 4/5I really enjoyed the first book of the Sons of Templar series. The only thing I did not really like was how It introduces a lot of people in such a short time period. Cade is OTT alpha male but had a sweet side for Gwen. Gwen is the definition of a diva my goodness. But she is not a h who let's the H walk all over her she had a backbone. Cade and Gwen had a great chemistry throughout the book. The story line kept my interest through the entire book. It had a good HEA.

    24. Wow, I feel like I'm getting off a roller-coaster a lot of drama from beginning to end. But, I am anxious to read the next book and see what happens. :)

    25. I received an ebook of this novel from the author in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Anne Malcom! What a freaking ride this book was! I am officially in love with Anne Malcom. This was the second book I have read written by her, and if these are any indication for the others, I will never be disappointed. Before I talk about the book itself, can I just say that from an Architecture student perspective, Anne Malcom has incredible interior design taste? And not to mention fashion taste? I [...]

    26. This book (and writer) is often mentioned by the fans of Kristen Ashley’s books so that made me very curious, because I am a Kristen Ashley’s fan too. And now I’m so glad that I read this story because I really loved it! Gwen Alexandra grew up in a little town in New Zealand but she always dreamt of going to New York City. So as soon as she was old enough she moved to NY. She met some great people there who became close friends and she had a great job. Life was great until she felt in love [...]

    27. 3.5 stars! 🙈🙈I liked it, but I struggled while reading this book. It took me four days to finish it and I think it had a lot to do with Gwen being very annoying and immature. I loved Cade though😍 he was one swoony possessive alpha! I wanted an epilogue but we’ll see if I get more of them throughout the series.
