    1. 2 It-Had-Potential-But-Fizzled-Out-Fast stars. DNF @51%. Review posted November 22, 2015.Kevin tried to pretend he’d been looking at the bottles next to the…. Oh shit. Of course they’d put the penis enlargement pills directly next to the ass cleaner. Why did the queue for the register have to be next to the men’s vitamin section? The heat in his cheeks was going to melt his face off.“Apparently everyone in this humid hellhole is having ass issues,” someone grumbled.Finn snorted and p [...]

    2. A New SJD Peterson book.woooo!---------------------------------#Detroit #myneckofthewoodsThis cover is simply gorgeous! As soon as I seen it I knew…”This is My City!” I always get a little giddy when I read books that have a connection to Michigan and this book definitely felt like home. Between the cover, the fact the MCs are musicians and the super talented authors who wrote it, I just knew I was gonna love it!Mich, Finn & Ritchie are Resonator. Rez by the Fans and The Detroit 3 to t [...]

    3. I loved this. Def not your traditional M/M, but it was damn good. These two should def team up again and again.

    4. 3.5 StarsI struggled a bit with the rating of this book. I liked it, but it didn't wow me, and it felt a bit too long. I liked Evin and Finn (and they were especially hot when Ritchie joined in), but as much as I felt their chemistry, I didn't really feel the romance. Most of the book takes place on tour, so we get snapshots of gigs and things that happen before or after the show. I would have liked more romance and interaction between Evin and Finn. Still, if these authors are planning a book fo [...]

    5. I totally adored the cover of this book, but before I started reading it looked at some reviews and heard some comments and for some reason I got put off - so it took me ages to get into it, and this was a mistake.RuinP is as much a book about the dynamics of being in band and friendship as it is a romance, but it is definitely a romance albeit narrated and arrived at in a non standard way. The POV shifts from 3 characters, which is interesting and gave me that feeling of watching your friends, [...]

    6. I love rock-star romance stories. After reading the prologue, I was so sure that I would get an angst-fest and a romance of epic proportions. It was just that good and so promising. The more I read however, the further away for that I got. The story revolves around the three original members of Resonator, also known as Detroit 3, Miah, Finn, and Ritchie, as well as Kevin, who swiftly became Evin after joining the band as a bassist. We know from pretty early on that Evin has a crush on Finn and i [...]

    7. An ARC of this book was provided in exchange for an honest review. At first glance, the cover didn’t appeal to me. It didn't make sense to me. But I’m a fan of S.J.D. Peterson, the blurb was interesting and it’s about hot guys in a rock band, so um, yeah. Then I started reading the book and I thought, wow! During an online QA with fans, the band members explained why they chose Ruin Porn for the title of their first album. And finally the cover of the book made total sense. I get it. And it [...]

    8. REVIEWED FOR PRISM BOOK ALLIANCE4.75 StarsI have a real soft spot for rocker stories and this one hit just that spot. The love story almost takes a back seat in Ruin Porn as we figure out the Detroit 3+E.Miah, Finn and Ritchie are rock band Ruin Porn and are well on their way from rags to riches when Kevin Rene hits their radar. Kevin is part of another band that should be opening for them on their latest tour but when his band is sent home before the gigs even start Kevin is offered the chance [...]

    9. I enjoyed this book and it would have been 5 star read but I felt that the ending was rushed and everything came together and was resolved just a little too easily.I know that one thing will definitely be carried over to book 2, but to give Finn and Evin their HEA, it came just too easily.I wouldn't have known of this book if a friend hadn't suggested a buddy read and that would have meant Missing out on a great book. Easy to read and finished in one sitting.

    10. Ok, I admit, hands-down, this book rocked! It's very different from the traditional MM stories out there, and certainly very different in the way it was written, but I loved it so damn much, I couldn't put it down! Gone was my good night of sleep and the day of getting stuff done; all that stuff became non-important to my drive to get to the end of this book. If there was one thing I'd change about this book is the way it started; we already know the band hit rock bottom and they split up, altho [...]

    11. I stopped reading at 57%, so I'm not going to rate it. I just couldn't get into it. The problem with me and books about musicians is that it always throws me out of the story when the really great thing about being in a band is hardly ever mentioned because the books are written by people who clearly never experienced it. Being in a band actually is like some sort of weird group marriage even if there is no sex among the band's members. I think I have never fought so hard with anyone else except [...]

    12. *4.5 stars*This book had the unenviable task of following an amazing book by my favourite author. If anything can get me over a book hangover, it's rock stars! As soon as Miah told (K)Evin to play bass, I was done for. Bass is my ultimate weakness. There are so many things I need to know. Miah and Ritchie? The reunion? How will Finn and Evin handle being out and in the spotlight? There has to be a sequel. Please.

    13. It seems lately that I have been reading more musically inspired books and they seem to be growing on me big time. S.J.D. Peterson has delivered again. I loved all the guys in this book. Finn and Evin are great love interest and man oh man I can't wait for the second book about Ritchie and Miah. That one will be great also.

    14. I really enjoyed this one. I do rather have a penchant for rock star books and this hit all the right buttons. 4.5-5 stars. Hoping there is another.

    15. I loved this so much I want to add more stars! This is one of the best rock-band stories I’ve ever read. It is a love story, but also the story of the four young band members trying to turn their musical talent into commercial success while becoming increasingly aware of the costs of fame. Resonator is an emerging rock band on their first international tour. The three original members have been friends since they were children. They are incredibly talented but their relationships aren’t very [...]

    16. Rock stars are not my usual choice. I chose this book for Joyfully Jay's September Reading Challenge - the part where you read outside your normal genres) I missed the challenge but I read the book and enjoyed it. Finn, Ritchie, and Miah are the Detroit 3 and life long friends. Their band is called Resonator and they are on their way up. When Miah meets Kevin Rene he signs his band to be their opening act. Things don't work out and Kevin becomes Evin Rene and the fourth member of Resonator. This [...]

    17. Thoroughly enjoyed this one: music, friendships, romance, on the road angst and poor communication- ticked all my like-y boxes in a read. Not sure if I can manage a longer review - if I don't know that I am jumping up and down for the next book, there is one, right? Right? I need to know what happens with Miah and Ritchie

    18. Review to come!!! :)Musicians…Hot, sexy, watch-me-as-I-come-undone-while-playing-these-strings-musicians. Hint: watch out for a hot guitar banter on stage between Finn and Evin. Anyone who tells me that music can’t be like making love needs to read this.Resonator is a band conformed by Miah, Ritchie and Finn. They are going to play a concert, so they decide to get a new opening band. Kevin is part of that opening band, and after things go awry with said band, Miah, one of the Resonator guys [...]

    19. This was just the book I was looking for when I needed a distraction. It wasn't perfect and I typically don't like when characters get in their own way of happiness by lack of communication but seeing how it affected this fun group of close friends kept me enthralled. It just goes to show that keeping secrets is never a good way to live.I liked the nontraditional approach to romance and getting POV from the entire band really drove home just how tight these guys are. I really enjoyed getting to [...]

    20. ARC provided by the publisher through Scattered Thoughts and Rogue Words in exchange for an impartial review. Kevin Rene can’t believe his luck when he’s personally “recruited” by Miah Thade, lead singer of Resonator, a rock band on the fast track to fame. He met Miah when his band was set to be the opening act in Resonator’s first tour, Made in Americana, but when his own band members showed up drunk and high, the deal was off, and Kevin and the guys were left to languish in LA. What [...]

    21. This was fun and plenty angsty with some good LOL moments and super hot sexy times.I'll be back later with more thoughts when I get to a real keyboard.************ETA (9/6/15) I’ve been separated from this by one and a half books already so I may not be as thorough as I’d originally intended. I was HOOKED from the beginning on this one –and that’s become rare these days. There were quite a few LOL moments that kept me thoroughly entertained and engaged. There were a few OMG moments as we [...]

    22. I love when I read a new author(s) and have no idea what style of writing they use or how their stories develop. I read the blurb for Ruin Porn and figured since it was rockstars it would be an insta-love (because who can resist a sexy rockstar) – What I was not expecting was to feel a lot of different emotions and to fall completely in love with the MCs. Here we have 4 men all with different personalities that mesh well (and sometimes not) with each other.•Miah, the lead singer, is glue to [...]

    23. Everyone deserves to be able to live their truthThis was my introduction to both authors. I was lured by the title to read the synopsis, and then I was hooked by the discovery that there were rockstars involved. Yup, that's my weakness, I'm a rockstar romance junkie. I was further hooked when I started reading the book because it starts at the end, right in the middle of an eye-brow raising, thought provoking event. I was very intrigued. The story is told with multiple POV's. You will get to enjo [...]

    24. First let’s start with the basics. There is something about a flawed rock star that just calls to me. Ruin Porn has 4 of these flawed men so; it was rock-your-socks-off good!! Second, two amazing authors coming together to write a book?! Count me in!! If you are new to the male/male world, or just have not read anything by these amazing authors, this is the perfect book to get to know them both, you will not be disappointed.I really enjoyed this book and the alternating POV and how the authors [...]

    25. Original review on Molly LollyFour and a half stars!I am a huge fan of both of these authors and their stories they write by themselves. When I heard they were writing a story together I knew it was going to blow me away. And boy did they deliver. I hope this is the start of many projects together in the future. I seriously loved this story. From start to finish I couldn’t put it down and ignored everything else around me. These two men that loved each other yet couldn’t get their stuff toge [...]

    26. 4.5 StarsI love books that veer from the norm and Ruin Porn definitely does that. It is equally the story of Resonator, an indie rock band, as it is the story of Finn and Evin. The Detroit 3 are lifelong friends who make up the original band and they bring Evin in after his own band—who is supposed to be Resonator’s opening act on their tour—screws up big time. When you have the bond these three men have, being the fourth wheel isn’t going to be easy. For Evin, getting that in depth look [...]

    27. These guys are all really good at the "rockstar life" but not so good at the real world. They are all so different, but I loved how their friendship has kept them all together for so long. When Evin joins the band they welcome him and treat him the same way they've treated each other. He is so guarded, I would have liked to know more about his family than the glimpses that are told. I really loved the ending and them all realizing what's really important. The only change I would make is the paci [...]

    28. OMG, these boys just needed to talk to each othere lack of communication was SO frustrating given that we know what they are all thinking!!!The sex scenes are smokin hot. I loved Evin and Finn but wanted to see more of them together, the happy part of the book is so small ):Not a fan of Miah at all, he is a hypocritical jackass. It's going to take A LOT for him to redeem himself in book 2 (assuming it will be about him?)This was a great writing duo and I'm really hoping we don't have to wait too [...]
