    About "Beau Taplin"

      • Beau Taplin

Beau Taplin Is a well-known author, some of his books are a fascination for readers like in the Bloom book, this is one of the most wanted Beau Taplin author readers around the world.

    1. Thank you Andrews McMeel Publishing for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. There was something in Beau Taplin's words touched my soul. I discovered him years ago on Instagram and I enjoyed reading his poems. I'm glad I had a chance to read his latest collection because some of the poems were relevant to my life. I enjoyed it a lot especially about life lessons. It brings positivity and drive to face new challenges. Overall, this is a great collection.

    2. Bloom by Beau Taplin is advertised as a collection of one hundred and forty poems. Taplin is an internationally recognised author and social media sensation. Following a formative education at Melbourne Rudolf Steiner, Beau found some success as a songwriter before turning his passions to poetry and prose.Poetry is a complex art of using elements of language, rhyme, meter, and alliteration, to create emotion. Poetry was once sang using the elements of language to aid in oral histories. We rememb [...]

    3. Recommendation:If you generally enjoy poetry, but it. If you’re on the fence borrow it. Would you read another book by this author?: Yes! Who might enjoy this book?: People who enjoy poetry. People who enjoy when others relate to their inner turmoil. Overview: I find it hard to rate poetry. To me, it’s like a painting and can be interpreted in so many ways. I usually feel like 3 Stars is my standard rating when it comes to poetry, but I gave this book 4 for how much the poem “espresso” h [...]

    4. Another stunning book of poetry from Beau. He is absolutely my all time favorite poet. I wish I could crawl inside his brain and just camp for a while. The way he puts so simply some of the most complex feelings in life is astounding. I always feel a combination of things when reading his work -- heartache, brokenness, a renewed sense of faith, hope, love. At the end of it all, I feel human, and to me, that's what poetry is all about. 5 stars.

    5. ➷ARC provided by Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing in exchange for an honest review➹This book is beautiful and I especially love the visuals inside but I can't really relate much to the "poems" inside. They're definitely different than the trend nowadays and although it's a plus point for me, I still don't think they're my cup of tea. They're not terrible, but they could have been better.I do recommend this for people who love reading about inner turmoil and personal growth more than r [...]

    6. Beau Taplin will hopefully continue writing his beautiful, haunted, passionate, daring, wild, thriving, perhaps even slightly terrified poetry for decades to come.He doesn't just write about soul mates and the despair of heartbreak, there are reminders of self-honesty, humility, respect and the many millions of small good things that give pleasure. This book is filled with his signature short and deeply hard hitting lyrics, far too many for me to ever select a mere one or few favorites, as all r [...]

    7. Adored it. All the poems were really short, but really packed a punch. And the layout of the book was just so beautiful, and genuinely added to the atmosphere of the book: which was uplifting and hopeful.

    8. super cute and just straight up lovely to read! this is probably blasphemy but i thought it was better than milk and honey

    9. Shame that dont put up the cover BECAUSE ITS SO SEXY ! Such a cute piece of poetry !! :D I read poetry books so fast it scares me 😂 The message of the book is like little reminders of our worth and how to deal with our insecurities. Which is quite different from all the romance poetry book out there. The format and editing is so simple but so mesmerizing ! Thank you to the author for sending me this book 😍

    10. beau will forever be one of my favourite poets (and people). his words just have a way of sinking into your skin and staying with you. some of these felt like they were written for me. i really needed some of the reminders that are given in here. thanks to netgalley and andrews mcmeel publishing for a copy of this book

    11. Yet another beautiful poetry collection. Not only did I love all the poems, but the layout was really nice. Each poem spoke to me in one way or another and I absolutely loved that. I would love to buy this in print when it's released.

    12. Thank you to NetGalley for the chance to read and review this little collection. "Bloom is a perfect bound collection of over 140 poems touching on growth, the heart, their stories, their scars, the challenging times, and the spectacular ones" I love poetry. I love reading something, relating to it, and feeling like someone else understands how I'm feeling. I didn't feel it in the bulk of these poems - and that's totally okay. That doesn't make the messages any less meaningful to anyone else. I' [...]

    13. This isn't poetry. It's more like snippets of self-care advice and some feelings written in prose. Altering line-length does not a poem make But the self-care is nice and for the most part this book is an enjoyable read. It does give me a quandary on which shelf to shelve it, though. I think I'm going to shelve it on "Poetry" for now, but I'm still very skeptical about its categorization.Anyway, if you like poetry, I kind of recommend you don't read this; but if you like the currently popular st [...]

    14. I received this as an ARC on NetGalley.I liked this. There were still the themes of self-empowerment, love, and loss as in most poetry books coming to light these days, but I appreciated that these were more than pop-poetry pieces. The style was not my favorite, but much more poetic and involved than much of what I have read in the poetry world recently. Plus, many of the pieces felt like they were speaking directly to me, which is what a solid writer can do - through one into each and every. Pl [...]

    15. Original review This book was provided by the publisher through in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Netgalley and Andrews McMeel Publishing.Bloom is a poetry collection of 140 poems about growth and renewal, about love, grief and learning from them.Bloom was such a beautiful and short poetry collection. I love reading poetry when I’m looking for something to ease my mind, not to think about college and my exams, to just relax and enjoy the art that the poet has written. Beau Taplin is [...]

    16. Beau continues to be one of my favorites. His beautiful soul fills these pages with love and reminds us that while pain and struggles are imminent, we must not let it prevent us from trying again. We must continue to Bloom.

    17. I received an eARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.Review originally published on my blog, Turning Pages. It seems to me like all contemporary poetry is free verse. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. While sometimes Beau’s collection doesn’t feel like poetry so much as short sentences, I found that I did enjoy it.The poetry definitely comes across as more conversational and confessional. Sometimes Beau seems to be talking to the reader, giving advice [...]

    18. Bloom by Beau Taplin is another one of those collections that's trying to bank off of the trend in contemporary poetry. Unfortunately, this one does not meet the standards of some of the other collections that have come out in the past two years. Bloom has three distinct types of work within the collection: the I poems, the You poems, and the full-page sentences that are reminiscent of a magazine pull quote. The first type of poems, the I poems, are ones that the poet addresses from the first pe [...]

    19. Wow. I don't often give poetry books a five star rating, but I definitely consider this book to be one of the best poetry books I've read. And it's one of my favorites now. The reason why? This poetry collection made me feel everything as I was reading it. It made me remember and feel the pain of heartbreak all over again. I felt the sadness of losing someone you care about, and the heartache of missing a friend. And I relived how it feels to fall in love, and find the person you want to do ever [...]

    20. I received an ARC from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion.I was somewhat familiar with Beau Taplin previously, so when I saw this newest book was listed on Netgalley, I jumped at the chance to read it. First things first, the design of this is so incredibly aesthetically pleasing. The way blush, black, and white pages intermingle just makes my heart sing. Fans of typography as well will be excited that several times throughout, poems are given an almost block-quote sig [...]

    21. I'm going to start off by saying that the cover is absolutely gorgeous. In a similar style to Rupi Kaur, Beau Taplin writes beautiful and hauntingly deep poems on a wide variety of topics from soul mates to heartbreak, the wonders of the universe and so much more. There were so many poems that I found myself stopping to really think about it and questioning well what if? Others seemed as if Taplin himself tapped (I understand that is a horrible pun - I'm sorry) into my brain and put ideas I do no [...]

    22. Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a review copy in exchange for an honest reviewI have no doubt that the finished copy of Bloom will be beautiful, but it’s unfortunate when a book’s design outshines what it contains. The collection overall is quite angsty and remains very superficial. There are also a number of repetitive poems (see “The Slow Death” and “Walk Toward the Light” or “The Wrong Turn” and “Spectacular Occurrences”) that make me feel like the author was [...]

    23. Thank you to netgalley for an arc of this in exchange for an honest review!3.5 stars“This is your renewal. This is your regrowth. You may come into this softly or bristling with thorns, beneath the light of the sun or the moon and the stars,so long as you always remember it is never too late to return to the root of your heart and begin again.”This was the first one of beau’s books that I’ve picked up and I wasn’t disappointed! I loved all the different themes this touched on. I find some [...]

    24. 5/5 stars"There are worldsin you, and I havefallen in lovewith every one."Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with a copy to read and review!Wow, I really, really loved this collection! Bloom is such an elegant, beautiful piece of artwork, and that's not even including the gorgeous layout and the graphics that are inside the book. Beau has such a talent about him--he's classy and eloquent without being pretentious or overly flowery in his language. While he doesn't use many types of metaphor [...]

    25. Although I wouldn’t call this poetry per say, I did really enjoy this collection. These little ‘poems’ (for lack of a more accurate description of these little snippets of text) were for the most, quite beautifully written. Taplin is able to perfectly capture emotions or experiences that often we have no words for. For that alone, I really enjoyed going through these poems. Occasionally, I would also find myself pausing on a line here and there, simply because of how beautifully it was phr [...]

    26. I love sampling new poetry, and the cover of Beau Taplin's Bloom caught my eye. There is some nice writing within the collection, but it was buried amongst a slew of very short prose poems which managed at once to feel both insipid and unfinished. The tone came across as rather a patronising one sometimes, and the content here was far too similar; it became repetitive very quickly indeed. Whilst Taplin's work will probably appeal to fans of poets such as Lang Leav, who tend to favour the shorter [...]

    27. A most wonderful collection of soul searching and hard hitting poems. Taplin's most complex thoughts and feelings are expressed beautifully and I think most people will find something that resonates within themselves and makes them ponder their own life experiences. This poet captures the crazy collection of emotions we go through just functioning, socialising and loving and makes us analyse them in away you can only marvel and smile at. I dipped in and out of this book over a few days and enjoye [...]

    28. *2.5Beau Taplin's work contains reflection that takes the past for what it is and only carries along what is necessary for the future. Though most of the collection contain words that barely skimmed the surface, a bit of it did resignate with me. Taplin created accessibility to ideas that we have or will encounter in our lives, making it seem that whatever drags us down will only help us, and what pushes us forward is within our control.

    29. I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest reviewI want to love this, I really do. It's just doesn't feel like a "stunning" and "twist" collection of poetry. Most of the poetry in this book felt like recycled texts from tumblr, they don't seem like something the author really feel, if you know what I mean? It's not like I'm knowing what happen behind the scene but I just feel like that and as the result, I couldn't connect with the pieces. The pieces also felt very disorganize [...]
