    1. This is a review of another book by an indie author. It's a short read, designed to be read in a couple of hours, and is the first in a series of novellas about Billamore Hall. The first story starts with the main character, Sandra, starting her job as the curator of the Billamore Hall Museum. Unfortunately her appointment follow the murders of the previous three curators.Just before the official opening, Sandra finds an old corridor in the basement of the museum, and a painting that seems to be [...]

    2. The Carrigan Painting: Mysteries of Billamore Hall Series, is the first in a mystery series. The main character, Sandra Peterson, becomes curator of the infamous Billamore Hall Museum and Art Gallery, after the previous three curators are murdered. The backstory behind this the reader never learns in this book, which was disappointing. All we know is they were murdered in the basement. I would have liked to have had more insight in order to care and fully understand the significance of this Muse [...]

    3. I was hooked from the very beginning. Sandra takes a job as curator at the Billamore museum after the last three curators were murdered? Interesting, tell me more. After noticing some weird goings on at the museum, Sandra becomes the fourth target. Josephine and her police detective boyfriend, Sandra’s best friends, quickly sign on to protect her and help solve the mysterious web she’s become embroiled in. Together, the trio snoop through old records and a mausoleum to track down the art thi [...]

    4. Sandra Peterson is the new curator at Billamore Hall. The only problem? Three curators have been murdered before her, and now the perpetrators are looking to her. This fast paced novella moves us through her relationship with her best friend, Jo and Jo’s detective husband Nathaniel who try to help her with the riddle. The puzzles include a mysterious painting, a burglary, and her grandmother’s necklace. This book does continue on to the next in the series if you want to read more, but at lea [...]

    5. The Carrigan Painting is a mixture of mystery, ghost story and crime thriller. I read it in a few hours but it charmed me enough to make me want to read other books in the Billamore Hall Mystery Series. The author has revealed part of the mystery in this book but there’s evidently more to tell in the following books. BJ Richards succeeded in painting an uncomplicated, vivid picture of the characters, setting and crimes. Book one has whetted my interest. I now need to know more about the murder [...]

    6. BJ Richards is a great story teller. This is a very good short which I hope will develop in a full length novel. Lots of suspense, intrigue to keep you guessing, good characters description and good plot development. Over too quickly, I want more of this please. I'll be looking out for the author's work in future

    7. A great mystery story with a paranormal touch. The story began with Sandra coming across a creepy painting that kept blinking at her. She and friend Josephine come across an old diary dated to the nineteenth century and find that the person who wrote it was the same person as in the painting. It is an exciting story and leaves you wanting more!

    8. Loved the setting -- it had a cool, spooky atmosphere that I don't think the author exploited enough in this book -- I flew through this one and really liked how everything is set up for future mysteries. I felt this book, although satisfying, could have been longer.

    9. Fabulous book with a great story. Will make you read all the books in this series. The suspense combined with supernatural is really awesome. Would recommend this to all and especially if anyone is into mystery and suspense, this is a must read.

    10. I enjoyed reading this book. The pace was nicely done and I liked that it wasn't your typical "whodoneit" mystery with the ghost story element added into it.
